The Village of Holly

The Village of Holly is the economic and social center of the Northwest Oakland County community. The Village was incorporated in 1865 and has a population of 6,086 in 2.7 square miles. The Village has a nationally-recognized historic downtown shopping district, numerous parks, and Village government manages the Karl Richter Community Center.

Holly Township

Holly Township is a civil township with a total population of 11,362, which includes the population of the Village of Holly. Much of the Township is rural farm land and State of Michigan recreation land. Seven Lakes State Park and portions of the Holly Recreation Area are located within Holly Township. Oak Hill Cemetery, on Grange Hall Rd., has veterans from every major war interred, dating back to the Revolutionary War, as well as the Great Lakes National Cemetery. Holdridge Lakes Trails is a regionally acclaimed mountain-biking destination, and the Shiawassee River offers kayakers and canoers a scenic voyage through the Township to neighboring Fenton.

Rose Township, population 6210, is a primarily rural township, featuring Rose Oaks County Park and numerous equestrian facilities for avid riders and horse enthusiasts.

Groveland Township

Groveland Township has a population of 5,476, and is primarily a rural, residential township. Dixie Highway runs through the western portion of the township, which also features most of the Holly State Recreation Area, Groveland Oaks County Park, Mt. Holly Ski Resort, and the world-famous Michigan Renaissance Festival.

Springfield Township

Springfield Township is a charter township in Oakland County with a population of 13,940. The community of Davisburg is located in Springfield Township, as is Springfield Oaks County Park, the home of the Oakland County Fair, and Heather Highlands Golf Club.
